The Nordic House and BankNordik have signed a two-year agreement

The Nordic House and BankNordik are happy to announce that BankNordik will be the Nordic House’s main sponsor for 2017 and 2018. By entering this collaboration, BankNordik will become an active player in the Nordic House’s core activity through which the venue’s remit is manifested – to function as a vibrant cultural house, which offers audiences a broad, Nordic programme where all cultural genres and activities can flourish.

BankNordik and the Nordic House are practically neighbours in Tórshavn and the physical proximity offers great opportunities for utilizing the organisations’ respective facilities in an innovative and creative way. Additionally, BankNordik’s four departments around the country and in Greenland and Denmark offer exciting opportunities for collaborations and outreach. The latter two are especially relevant for the Nordic House’s aim to promote Faroese culture in the Nordic Countries.

BankNordik and the Nordic House are looking forward to a rewarding collaboration, which undoubtedly will inspire many interesting and important events for the entire family over the next couple of years.

Árni Ellefsen, CEO for BankNordik, expressed delight at the new collaboration: “The Nordic House plays an important role as a promoter of Nordic art and culture and this agreement gives us the opportunity to support this work, which is to the benefit of people who live in and visit the Faroes alike. As a Faroese financial institution with departments in both Denmark and Greenland, we also wish to utilize our position in these countries to showcase and thus support Faroese art and culture abroad.”

The collaboration will launch at an event on 21.-22. January in BankNordik and the Nordic House.
