We wish to invite selected guests to the Faroes for the annual Faroese Music Awards (FMA) 7th of March 2020
Location: The Nordic House in the Faroe Islands and other venues in Tórshavn
The Fareose Music Awards (FMA) were first awarded in 2014 and has since developed into an annual music event with live performances, talks and awards in all genres of music. FMA takes place during the “Play Faroese” week on the Faroes so that it coincides with many concerts in a variety of venues in Tórshavn.
The main event is held in the Nordic House in the Faroe Islands (www.nlh.fo) and is broadcast live on Faroese radio and webside kvf.fo – both public service and private.
FMA is a collaboration between Kringvarp Føroya (the Faroese National Broadcasting Service), Miðlahúsið (privately owned media company), Faroese music societies, music publishers, concert and festival promoters and other stakeholders in Faroese music.
The purpose of the event is to honour the best music in the past year. FMA is an inclusive event with room for all genres within which music is published on the Faroe Islands.
Invited guests will receive return flights from Bergen, Copenhagen, Billund, Reykjavík or Edinburgh as well as acommodation in Tórshavn for the duration fo their stay. We fly with the Faroese airline Atlantic Airways and our foreign guests stay at Hotel Hafnia in the city center
