New Year with all things new in the Nordic House

The Nordic House wishes everyone a Happy New Year - not just with our annual New Year's concert, but this year also with a shiny new website, a fresh Spring programme full of exciting events and a brand new visual identity.

Both the new website and the Spring programme represent a new way of showcasing what happens in the house as well as what the Nordic House as an institution is all about.

The Spring programme 2017 offers a host of Nordic and Faroese content. It includes no less that three festivals: Winter Jazz, a brand new film festival and the ever popular children's festival. Furthermore, the programme spans everything from innovative, feminist performing arts to lectures about food wast and a film about eating bugs. Everything from tiger training to the royal danish brass ensemble, from the Faroese music awards to Northern Sound, from children's jazz to Bartók.

The children are given a lot of room this Spring. The prestigious music competition Stella Polaris is back and the new collaboration between the Nordic House and Tórshavn Music School is launched with no less than five events this Spring.

The Nordic House is an institution under the Nordic Council of Ministers and the new visual identity, which characterizes both the website and the programme, is our version of the identity that the Nordic Co-operation revealed in November 2016. It shows who we are as a Faroese cultural institution, but also that we belong to a bigger Nordic family.
