New collaboration agreement on Listaleypurin

On Friday 28 May, Uttanríkis- og Mentamálaráðið (the Faroese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture), Kommunufelagið (the Faroese municipalities), and the Nordic House in the Faroe Islands signed a new agreement on Listaleypurin.

The goal is to give primary school students the opportunity to experience quality art. Listaleypurin brings art out to schools in the Faroe Islands to arouse students' curiosity and sharpen their knowledge of and understanding of the artistic work.

Every year, Listaleypurin offers a number of exciting performances and workshops for schools to choose from. In the school year 2021/22, there are as many as 16 offers.

Listaleypurin is a collaboration between Uttanríkis- og Mentamálaráðið (the Faroese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture), Kommunufelagið (the Faroese municipalities), The Nordic House and LISA (the Faroese artists' association). The collaboration started 13 years ago.

With this agreement, the partners want to continue to offer schools a diverse range of art and cultural experiences and thereby strengthen children's and young people's interest and competencies regarding artistic creation.
